What our group does:
This is the group that organises any events around Kendray, we are hoping to cover at least 2 or maybe 3 per year. This year it took place on Saturday 12th July. They are now planning a Christmas event for Kendray on 14th December.


Group Activities:
Planning for an event starts around 6 - 8 months before the event. Members of the Events committee meet at least once a month, until there is just 2 or 3 months to go, at which point meetings become a bit more frequent.

Planning includes things like seeking permission to use the park, booking entertainers, writing out to stallholders and asking for donations etc.

Looking for volunteers?:
Yes, we are in desperate need of volunteers to help organise the evnts and also help out on the day, so please if you have a spare hour at any time let us know, we’d love for you to join us.

What we would like people to do:
As much or as little as you like!! There is a huge amount of work which goes into organising the gala so every little bit helps.

You could either get involved on the day or in the planning meetings; it might be that you can give just an hour a month to meet with other residents to help plan the gala or prefer to help on the day set up stalls etc.
